Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (divided)
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Arrange chicken breasts in a single layer in the baking dish.
- In a bowl, combine sour cream, 1/2 cup Parmesan, cornstarch, oregano, garlic powder, and salt and pepper; stir until smooth.
- Place a slice of mozzarella on each chicken breast.
- Spread the sour cream mixture over the chicken and sprinkle remaining Parmesan on top.
- Bake for 60 minutes, until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) and cheese is golden.
- Let stand a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve with steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh green salad. Garnishing with fresh herbs adds color.
