Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 meat-to-fat ratio)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 4 burger buns
- Cheese (optional)
- Toppings (lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, etc.)
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet or griddle over high heat.
- Form ground beef into balls (about 4 oz each) and season with salt and pepper.
- Place the beef balls on the skillet and smash them down with a spatula to create a thin patty.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes until crispy and golden brown, then flip and add cheese if using.
- Toast burger buns on the skillet.
- Assemble the burger with your choice of toppings.
