Delicious red velvet brownies swirled with creamy cheesecake, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, melt the butter and combine it with granulated sugar.
- Add eggs, vanilla extract, and red food coloring into the butter-sugar mixture; blend well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese with powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
- Dollop the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter, then pour the remaining brownie batter on top.
- Use a knife or skewer to swirl the layers together.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
Serve with vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
