A delicious and comforting dish featuring crispy chicken breasts coated with breadcrumbs and cheese, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a shallow dish, mix the bread crumbs with half of the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- In another dish, beat the eggs and milk together until well combined.
- Place the flour in a third dish.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, dip into the egg mixture, and coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook each chicken breast for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the cooked chicken to a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix the remaining Parmesan cheese with the shredded mozzarella and minced garlic.
- Top each piece of chicken with the cheese mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in Italian dressing for a couple of hours before breading. Ensure the oil is hot enough before cooking to achieve a golden crust.
