Description

A delicious and comforting dish featuring crispy chicken breasts coated with breadcrumbs and cheese, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, mix the bread crumbs with half of the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another dish, beat the eggs and milk together until well combined.
  4. Place the flour in a third dish.
  5. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, dip into the egg mixture, and coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook each chicken breast for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the cooked chicken to a baking dish.
  8. In a small bowl, mix the remaining Parmesan cheese with the shredded mozzarella and minced garlic.
  9. Top each piece of chicken with the cheese mixture.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in Italian dressing for a couple of hours before breading. Ensure the oil is hot enough before cooking to achieve a golden crust.
