Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Parmesan chicken dish that combines crispy breading with cheesy goodness, perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In one dish, mix the breadcrumbs, half of the grated Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning along with salt and pepper.
  3. In another dish, beat the eggs and mix in the milk.
  4. In a third dish, place the all-purpose flour.
  5. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, dip it into the egg mixture, and coat it with the breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and cook the chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the cooked chicken to a baking dish.
  8. In a bowl, mix the remaining Parmesan cheese with the mozzarella cheese and minced garlic; spread this mixture on top of the chicken.
  9. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.

Notes

For extra crispy chicken, let the breaded chicken sit for a few minutes before cooking.
