A delicious and easy-to-make Parmesan chicken dish that combines crispy breading with cheesy goodness, perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In one dish, mix the breadcrumbs, half of the grated Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning along with salt and pepper.
- In another dish, beat the eggs and mix in the milk.
- In a third dish, place the all-purpose flour.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, dip it into the egg mixture, and coat it with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and cook the chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the cooked chicken to a baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix the remaining Parmesan cheese with the mozzarella cheese and minced garlic; spread this mixture on top of the chicken.
- Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
Notes
For extra crispy chicken, let the breaded chicken sit for a few minutes before cooking.
