Description

Sweet and savory Honey Garlic Pork Bites, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a fun party appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4-2 pounds boneless pork loin filet or pork tenderloin filets, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup butter or neutral oil
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup apple juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • Garnish options: sliced green onions and/or sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined. Add the cubed pork tenderloin and toss until evenly coated.
  2. Heat butter or oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned pork cubes and sear until browned on all sides, reaching an internal temperature of 145 degrees F (about 4-5 minutes). Remove pork from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add honey, apple juice, and soy sauce. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Return the seared pork to the skillet with the sauce and toss to coat. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated through.
  5. Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds and serve hot over rice or with your favorite sides.

Notes

For a bit of spice, add red pepper flakes to the seasoning. Let the pork marinate for 30 minutes before cooking for extra flavor.
