Ingredients
- 120g almond flour
- 120g powdered sugar
- 90g egg whites
- 30g granulated sugar
- Food coloring (optional)
- Filling of choice (buttercream, ganache, or jam)
Instructions
- Sift almond flour and powdered sugar into a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whip egg whites until foamy, then gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Add food coloring if desired.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the egg whites until the mixture flows like lava.
- Pipe heart shapes onto parchment paper and let them sit for 30-60 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 150°C (300°F) and bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Cool completely before filling with your choice of filling.
Notes
Ensure the almond flour and powdered sugar are sifted well to avoid lumps. Experiment with different fillings and flavors for variety.
