Delicious heart-shaped chocolate chip cookies, perfect for special occasions like Valentine’s Day.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
- 1/2-3/4 cup Valentine’s Day sprinkles
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add vanilla and egg, mixing until combined.
- Add flour, salt, and baking soda, mixing until just combined. Gently fold in chocolate chips and sprinkles.
- Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter on a parchment-lined baking sheet to shape the cookies. Chill in the fridge for 1.5 to 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Bake cookies for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden.
- Reshape cookies immediately after baking into hearts using a spatula. Cool for 5-10 minutes, then move to a wire rack.
- Alternatively, place dough in silicone molds and bake for 10-13 minutes.
Notes
For a richer flavor, try browning the butter before mixing. Use high-quality chocolate chips for the best flavor.
