Description

Delicious heart-shaped chocolate chip cookies, perfect for special occasions like Valentine’s Day.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/2-3/4 cup Valentine’s Day sprinkles

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add vanilla and egg, mixing until combined.
  2. Add flour, salt, and baking soda, mixing until just combined. Gently fold in chocolate chips and sprinkles.
  3. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter on a parchment-lined baking sheet to shape the cookies. Chill in the fridge for 1.5 to 2 hours.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Bake cookies for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden.
  5. Reshape cookies immediately after baking into hearts using a spatula. Cool for 5-10 minutes, then move to a wire rack.
  6. Alternatively, place dough in silicone molds and bake for 10-13 minutes.

Notes

For a richer flavor, try browning the butter before mixing. Use high-quality chocolate chips for the best flavor.
