Delicious ham and cheese sliders perfect for gatherings or snack time, made with sweet Hawaiian rolls.
Ingredients
- 12 sweet Hawaiian rolls
- 8 ounces sliced ham
- 8 ounces sliced cheese (such as Swiss or cheddar)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half and place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
- Layer the ham and cheese on top of the rolls.
- In a bowl, mix the melted butter, poppy seeds, Dijon mustard, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Brush the mixture evenly over the top halves of the rolls.
- Place the top halves on the rolls and cover the dish with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden.
- Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
Notes
Use fresh Hawaiian rolls for the best sweetness and texture. Feel free to mix different types of cheese for added flavor. For a kick, add sliced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.
