Description

A fantastic dish that combines the flavors of a classic grilled cheese sandwich with the heartiness of a burrito. Perfect for any meal!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade blend)
  • 1 cup cooked white rice
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1/4 cup chipotle sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • Butter or oil for grilling

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess grease and add taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  2. Heat tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for a few seconds until flexible.
  3. Lay a tortilla flat and layer with cooked rice, seasoned beef, nacho cheese, chipotle sauce, and sour cream. Top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella.
  4. Heat a skillet, sprinkle shredded cheese on the pan, place the burrito seam-side down, and cook until cheese melts and forms a crispy crust. Flip and repeat until both sides are golden.

Notes

Feel free to customize the filling. For a spicier version, add jalapeños or more chipotle sauce. Ensure not to overfill the burrito to avoid difficulty in rolling.
