Description

Deliciously rich and fudgy red velvet brownies perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until well combined.
  4. Mix in the red food coloring and chocolate chips if using.
  5. Spread the batter into the prepared pan evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Allow to cool before cutting into squares. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Make sure not to overbake your brownies to keep them fudgy. Let the brownies cool completely before cutting to achieve cleaner slices.
