Description

A delightful dish of crispy puff pastry filled with spinach, cream cheese, and eggs, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • Puff pastry sheets
  • Spinach
  • Cream cheese
  • Eggs
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Olive oil
  • Garlic
  • Nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out puff pastry sheets and cut into circles.
  3. Place the pastry circles on a baking sheet and poke them with a fork.
  4. Bake for about 10-12 minutes until golden and flaky.
  5. In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté garlic; then add spinach until wilted.
  6. Mix in cream cheese, salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg, stirring until well combined.
  7. Crack an egg into each pastry shell and top with the spinach mixture.
  8. Bake for an additional 10-12 minutes until the egg whites are set.
  9. Serve warm.

Notes

Ensure the puff pastry is cold before rolling it out for the best flakiness. Fresh spinach is recommended for vibrant color and flavor.
