Ingredients
- 2 to 4 pitas, 6 to 7 inches
- Olive oil, for brushing
- 1 small clove garlic, finely minced
- 1 to 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella or crumbled feta, or a mix
- 1 cup sauce: crushed tomatoes, pesto, or hummus
- Favorite toppings: sliced olives, cherry tomatoes, red onion, baby spinach, artichoke hearts
- Seasonings: oregano, red pepper flakes, black pepper, sea salt
- Lemon and fresh herbs for finishing
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F. Stir minced garlic into a tablespoon of olive oil and brush both sides of each pita with the garlicky oil.
- Pre crisp the pita for 2 minutes on its own.
- Spread a thin layer of sauce on each pita.
- Add cheese of your choice.
- Scatter toppings evenly across the pizza.
- Air fry for 4 to 6 minutes at 375°F until the cheese is melted and edges are golden.
- Finish with a squeeze of lemon, a dusting of oregano, and freshly cracked black pepper.
Notes
Do not overload the pitas; a light hand with toppings keeps the crust crispy.
