A delightful dish of tender chicken and creamy sauce, prepared easily in a slow cooker, perfect for a cozy dinner.

Ingredients

  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Extra grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Clean the chicken breasts, pat dry, and place in the slow cooker.
  2. Make the Sauce: In a bowl, mix olive oil, salt, black pepper, oregano, thyme, heavy cream, chicken broth, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Assemble in the Slow Cooker: Pour the sauce over the chicken, ensuring every piece is covered.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until tender. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.
