Description

A delightful banana bread that combines ripe bananas with warm cinnamon for a cozy breakfast or snack.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (for swirls)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix the mashed bananas with the melted butter.
  3. Mix in the baking soda and salt.
  4. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla.
  5. Mix in the flour until just incorporated.
  6. In a separate small bowl, mix the cinnamon and tablespoon of sugar for the swirl.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mix, pour in the remaining batter, and sprinkle the top with the rest of the cinnamon sugar.
  8. Use a knife to swirl through the batter gently.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Make sure your bananas are very ripe for the best flavor. You can add nuts or chocolate chips for an extra treat.
