Soft, chewy chocolate cookies with a beautiful powdered sugar coating, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Powdered sugar for coating
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the sugar and oil.
- Add the eggs and vanilla to the sugar mixture, then stir until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.
- Refrigerate the dough for about 240 minutes or overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll the dough into balls and coat each ball in powdered sugar.
- Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Freeze for longer storage.
