Description

A delightful dessert combining sweet caramel and fresh apples in a moist cake, perfect for gatherings and potlucks.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chopped apples
  • 1 cup caramel sauce


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a sheet cake pan.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture.
  5. Fold in the chopped apples and pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  8. Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
