Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chopped apples
- 1 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a sheet cake pan.
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture.
- Fold in the chopped apples and pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
Notes
