Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk, until just combined.
  6. Fold in the blueberries gently.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with whipped cream or powdered sugar. Use fresh blueberries for optimal flavor; frozen blueberries can be used without thawing.
