Description

A hearty and comforting chili featuring white beans and poultry, perfect for cold days and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound ground turkey or chicken
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) white beans, drained and rinsed
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can (4 oz) diced green chilies
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, shredded cheese, cilantro


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
  3. Add ground turkey or chicken, cooking until browned.
  4. Stir in the drained white beans, chicken broth, diced green chilies, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for about 20 minutes.
  6. Serve hot, topped with sour cream, shredded cheese, and cilantro if desired.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add chopped jalapeños or cayenne pepper. Adjust the seasoning to match your taste.
